1/3 to 1/2 cup green peas for 3 days
Combine in a large crockpot:
1 pound cubed stewing beef
2 onions, chopped
3 carrots, chopped
6 cloves garlic, chopped
6 dried tomatoes, chopped
8-12 cups water
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 dried chili pepper
2-3 tablespoons beef bouillon powder
2-3 tablespoons dried rosemary leaves
Cook 4 or 5 hours. Discard the chili, thicken the stew and correct its seasonings. Serve with brown rice or potatoes.
Makes 6 servings.
If you'd like to use this recipe but make it more healthy by substituting some ingredient(s), by all means do so! For example, you might prefer to use a homemade beef broth instead of the water and bouillon powder.
